Lara Ward

Lara balances a collaborative performance and creative producing career with her commitment to enabling access to dance for adults with mental and physical health issues in her local community. Qualities of Care, Support, taking time to Listen, Motivate and Empowering people to develop their own creativity, are embodied in her practice.

Lara leads regular movement sessions for older adults with additional needs who live in supported accommodation. As a dancer Lara began her career with an Inclusive Dance Group DanceFX in Cheshire. More recently, Lara has also made two dance films with Motion Control Dance’ inclusive group, Local Motion Dance Company, who are based in Barry.
